Job description, responsibilities and duties

The Consumer Marketing Specialist, in partnership with partner account managers and product managers, develops and executes marketing plans that are tailored for specific partner accounts in order to drive sales to consumers, optimize cost effectiveness, deliver the right consumer experience, win share from competitors and achieve business goals. The Consumer Marketing Specialist is also responsible for planning, development, and execution of seasonal marketing communication campaigns that land thru overall partner channel - to drive favorable perception and acceptance of Microsoft consumer offerings, generate demand and drive sales.

Responsibilities:

Analysis & Insight:
• Act as center of expertise for consumer market intelligence: collect and apply consumer insights for the maximized efficiency of seasonal marketing campaigns, partner marketing plans and helps product marketing managers to structure the most resonating consumer value propositions, promotions and offers for the local market
• Analyze partners existing marketing capabilities in order to recognize and execute on specific local needs
• Anticipate and discover competitor activities, and adjust retail marketing programs to win over competition

Marketing Planning, Execution and Efficacy:
• Understand the levers that deliver enhanced consumer experience to drive sell- thru
• Develop a merchandising plan both online and in-store that aligns partner goals to Microsoft’s category goals to maximize profits for both parties
• Create joint value proposition, promotions and offerings translated into required marketing materials to enable retail partners, resellers, hardware partners, and Telco operators to amplify Microsoft’s marketing messaging, especially around Software, Hardware and Windows devices
• Align to seasonal planning guidelines to ensure readiness and execution on the market
• Create seasonal marketing execution plans in cooperation with stakeholders according to corporate guidance that maintain channel momentum through the product life cycle
• Leverage digital and in-store tactics to maximize partner/MSFT revenue potential
• Manage brand communications aligned with Corporate brand strategy, brand voice, and guidelines.
• Work closely with communications managers, product marketing managers and partner account managers internal and external to Microsoft (e.g., PR) and agencies to achieve highly effective and impactful communications
• Deliver concise creative briefs to agencies with clear business and campaign objectives and build effective environment of productive cooperation with agencies to manage and measure seasonal marketing campaigns
• Maximize ROI on future activities by measuring and optimizing marketing campaigns and promotions performance; review outcomes with partners/agencies and apply modifications

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

Slovak - Proficiency (C2) and English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• Marketing experience at least 4 years, preferably in channel marketing and retail, or consumer communications
• Strong cross-group collaboration skills
• Strong communication skills and excellence in project management
• Retailer and/or Consumer marketing background or proven knowledge of consumer selling channels
• Experience in building and executing marketing plans aiming to achieve specific business goals
• Structure, discipline, self-motivation
• Creativity, open mind, out-of-the-box thinking, challenger approach
• Personal passion for marketing, customer relationship marketing, technology, partners and satisfaction
• Negotiation and influencing skills that gain successful outcomes for both the partner and Microsoft
• Good command of English language, both written and oral
