Job description, responsibilities and duties

The role of Plant Manager is to manage the production of our Client in Zatec.

The main missions of the role are as follows but not limited to:

- Assume the management of the production unit
- Direct reports include: HR, Quality, Finance, Logistics, Purchasing Managers with full P&L responsibility
- Drive plant Quality, Cost, Delivery and People (QCDP) performance and build and meet the plant budget
- Develop the annual plan and the budget for the site
- Plan and implement restructuring measures for the site
- Manage social climate and labor relations
- Plan and implement the performance objectives agreed with the board management
- Participate in the preparation and implementation of the strategic and operation planning
- Ensure permanent optimization of processes in logistics, production, maintenance and production planning
- Further development of the technologies used in the plant
- Drive product/process QCD improvement; optimize plant lay-out and equipment usage
- Perform the tasks in quality and environmental management, in particular responsibility for the conduct of audits and certifications
- Regular contact to customers, business partners and suppliers

Information about the selection process

- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Plant Manager or GM in the production line, if possible with a background in the Automotive Industry as well as a proven track record of managing a production unit
- Academic degree in Industrial engineering or production management or business administration, technical skills and project management experience required
- Experience in Manufacturing systems (SAP, SCM)
- Experience in quality system and tools
- Lean Manufacturing
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills required
- Fluent to native Czech/Slovak language skills, fluent English, German would be advantage

Our client - one of the leading automotive suppliers specialized in developing and manufacturing components and systems for car interiors as well as driver and passenger seats for off-road vehicles, trucks, buses, and trains is currently looking for and Interim Plant Manager for their site in Zatec.
We are looking for experienced candidates in the automotive sector who are immediately available for an interim mission of initial 6 months which could be then made permanent.

Postgraduate (Doctorate)
