Job description, responsibilities and duties

Purpose of this role:
The successful candidate will manage the technological and project management department of the company, consisting of managing 4 team leaders directly and 15 indirectly. The successful candidate will be working closely together with and reporting directly to the Managing Director of the Slovak entity.

Tasks but not limited to the mentioned below:
- Participation in the development of the products, feasibility studies and project calculations in collaboration with the Headquarter;
- Continuous development of the materials and technology concepts in the ongoing projects at the site;
- Planning of implementation of processes and methods in accordance with the company policies and requirements;
- Planning and implementation of company principles in the development and improvement of the production processes;
- Overall responsibility for the whole department, following up on the KPIs and setting up the goals and reaching the targets by the team members;
- Professional and disciplinary guidance and supervision of the team members;
- Planning and organization of education and training for the team members;
- Responsibility for H&S, industrial safety and accident prevention within the department;
- Coordination of the projects with other department heads at the site and with the Headquarter;
- Implementation of customer-specific requirements in to the relevant projects;
- Intensive cooperation with the Headquarter and take on tasks from the Headquarter.
- Regular reporting to MD of the local entity on the technical and qualitative status of current projects.

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Personality requirements and skills

- University degree in a technical field specialized in machinery engineering, plastic material technology, leather processing, automation technology or similar
- At least 8 years working experience in the automotive/OEM industry
- At least 5 years leadership experience in managing middle sized teams with 15 to 20 subordinates
- Experience in car interior components production would be advantageous
- Proven track record of strong leadership ability
- Strong technical understanding
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Ability to motivate colleagues and subordinates
- Interdisciplinary knowledge and cross-functional thinking
- Ability to make decisions, to delegate and to achieve results
