Job description, responsibilities and duties
• Responsibility for building a Research & Development Centre. Highest responsibility for management of greenfield or brownfield R&D Centre project to be delivered as per requested time, cost, design and quality.
• Overall responsibility for project management, from initial phase of the project, through implementation phase, construction and technology installation till launch of new plant and starting the operation itself.
• Participation in project proposal/preparatory phase of the project what relates to time planning, budgetting, building and facilities design verification with architects and general contractor, completion of contracts and licenses for building permits, leading negotiations with suppliers.
• Responsibility for grant application (national/regional/EU) & preparation of legal and organizational setup/documentation of the project.
• Cooperation with universities, schools and government institutions in Slovakia and abroad to ensure talent monitoring of potential new employees.
• Employ a can-do attitude, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged and aligned to the project’s goals.
• Covering communication with local authorities and governmental institutions.
• Vendor management & site-supervision of general contractor of the construction on inspection days. Regular time, budget and payment tracking and verification of quality of work.
• Commissioning of the plant, covering its´ qualification and successful completion of the key audits.
• Reporting to R&D Director.

• University degree in technical/economic area
• Proven project management experience with greenfield or brownfield project, ideally gained from the side of investor/industry company.
• Successfully led some development projects focused on building new centre for R&D or testing new material processing technology, new product development centre/department, laboratory centre or „start up“ centre.
• 3+ years of experience in similar project management positions.
• 5+ years of experience with cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of financial, technical and project managerial side of the project.
• Experience with projects financed by EU grants or programs.
• Demonstrable skills in project management tools and methodologies, Project Management certification is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Slovak and English language (min. B2 level) is a must.
• Strong in communication and relationship management skills within the company.
• Leading a team of internal staff or experts, close communication with internal and external partner and stakeholder.
• High-level of professionalism and responsibility.
• Proactive attitude, dynamic, with personal drive and self-action.
