Principal Pricing Strategy Analyst, Eastern Europe (based in the region)

The main purpose of the role is to drive execution of pricing initiatives in the Eastern Europe and Russia and to implement the regional pricing foundation, defined by the region with appropriate processes and KPI’s.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support tools, processes and metrics standardization across the different markets within each sub-region, while ensuring sustainability and best in class service.
  • Create local pricing structure & culture.
  • Drive country account & price segmentation, including building customer specific price lists based on the regional target and floor prices and, driving adaptive strategies based on go-to market strategy, reimbursement, market dynamics & competitive environment.
  • Partner & support the Sub-Regional leadership & commercial teams, become partner of the negotiation team for major tenders & big deals, work with the team to make the final pricing decisions.
  • Governance process local owner, including preparation of the business cases for pricing committee approval.
  • Use regionally & globally generated reporting to engage with BU's to drive optimal pricing behaviours.
  • Gather and analyze competitive moves, suggests & implements local strategies.
Key requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (Master's degree preferred).
  • Successful 3+ years of relevant experience (medical devices industry experience strongly preferred), in: pricing strategy / finance / reimbursement / marketing or sales management.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare systems and industry practices in the Eastern Europe and Russia with proven track record on successful execution, business partnership and process improvement.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to translate analytics into meaningful messages for stakeholders.
  • Problem solving, solution finding and decision making oriented.
  • Ability to master navigating through a complex matrix environment with multi-cultural & multi-functional components.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to drive adoption of new practices and influence decision making.
  • Entrepreneurial / proactive approach, team player.
  • Fluent English required, additional local languages are an advantage.
  • Occasional travel required, up to 20%.
