Job description, responsibilities and duties
Purpose of the position
• To participate in the front end development and support of Informational web sites based in SDL Tridion CMS.
• To liaise and work alongside other IS functions and delivery partners in analyzing business requirements, designing and delivering solutions within CMS.
• Understanding the requirements from Business Process Specialists and preparing Technical Specifications.
• Developing the content management solution as specified in the technical specification (which includes – designing templates, workflow, developing scripts).
• Level 3 support for exiting applications using content management.
• Working as an escalation point for the Level 2 support team for technical issues.
Principal responsibilities
• Implementation of web sites/applications (in collaboration with our backend team) using SDL Tridion and Cocoon as presentation layer
• Implementation of multilingual websites and portals
• Integration of external systems, AJAX Frameworks and Web 2.0 features
• Create author-manageable informational web sites using selected web content management package
-Creation of authoring and presentation templates
-Search engine and web analytics configuration
-Client-side scripting
-Configuration of systems such as web monitoring, user identification, web server setup and integration with information repositories
• Support deployed sites (monitoring, troubleshooting)
• Provide web expertise on a consultancy basis to projects needing web development experience
• Stay abreast of emerging web technologies
• Understand the technical specification and review it for development
• Development and enhancement activities based on the specification
• Testing of application, peer review and documentation
• Ensure services are delivered as per SLA s
• Adheres to policies, guidelines and procedures of Global IS while development is carried out

• Applied knowledge of software development best practices: unit testing, continuous integration, static code analysis, code reviews, performance testing
• Cocoon framework knowledge and proven understanding of other frameworks (Jquery, spring, dojo)
• Overall five plus years of technical skill in content management (preferably also experience with SDL Tridion)
• Good analytical skills and ability to work with customer oriented teams in a global environment
