Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
-Performing compliance activities by providing support, direction, local oversight and implementation of compliance policies and monitoring plans thereby enabling to ensure the businesses are conducted in compliance with ethical business practices and local regulatory requirements.
- Act as Local Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in order to monitor AML compliance;
- Responsible for the execution of local Compliance Monitoring and Testing plans Support business for local compliance related areas
- Ensure implementation of local compliance policies and procedures within the organization
- Participate on development and maintenance of strong compliance risk management programs, including identifying significant compliance risks, evaluating the management of those risks through local testing and monitoring activities and developing action plans to enhance controls where appropriate;
-Report clearly and effectively to relevant internal and external stakeholders on local compliance related matters
- Support development and implementation of compliance-related metrics and management reporting;
- Support in adopting compliance best practices, ensuring that Company standards are met in all areas and report significant compliance issues.
- Ensure that compliance training programs are undertaken by all required personnel, this will require some face to face training of personnel.

-Ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal in English and Slovak) with all levels, including senior management and external stakeholders;
-Experience of working within the Compliance/control-related areas for at least 2 years, preferably in insurance or financial industry – risk management, legal, internal audit;
- Knowledge of Slovak AML regulation
- Organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and work with various process leaders within the business
- Critical thinking/good analytical skills
- High energy levels and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines;
- Degree and appropriate professional qualifications – University education
- Business acumen and commercial awareness;
- Influencing and gaining commitment;
- Flexible and adaptable style;
- Certain knowledge of local (EU) regulatory requirements for financial services businesses especially insurance ones is a plus;
