Technology Run Consultant

Job Description

The Technology Run Consultant primary responsibility is to ensure the effective running of McDonald’s Slovakia technology portfolio in a professional and timely manner, deliver pro-active and re-active maintenance with limited impact to the business. This role is also responsible for office user professional maintenance, supporting new store openings and restaurant remodeling, is an escalation point for complex issue resolution, and ensuring the operation tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide support of IT Services for end users
• Run the incident, problem and change management processes in head office: resolve issues, perform service requests, plan, test and implement changes into office IT infrastructure
• Serve as an escalation point for restaurants in the incident management process
• Support new restaurant opening and restaurant remodeling process by coordination of McDonald’s technical service providers and frequent visits of restaurants
• Supervision of hardware lifecycle and its replacement planning
• Ownership of all operational technology and security issues until they are resolved
• Maintain technology services, define, schedule and perform regular activities for their health
• Execute methodologies to reduce unscheduled downtime and improve customers’ satisfaction
• Review, schedule and perform operational maintenance activities with stakeholders and IT team
• Escalation issues and requests to next levels of support and to local and global 3rd parties
• Be a part of IT projects by being point of contact from market side for global technology teams, provide regular communication and updates to the project stakeholders
• Perform office staff on/off boarding in terms of technology
• Maintain IT knowledge base up to date by documenting technology operations activities, developing and maintaining user/admin manuals
• Ensure adherence to company and IT policies and procedures
• Escalation point for major issues, including after-hours and weekend

• Breadth of technical skills related to the hardware, software and IT infrastructure of an organization

Knowledge and experience

• Education in Computer Science, IT or similar. Or adequate experience.
• English: at least level B2 (spoken and written).
• Driving license type B (and is an active driver).
• 5+ years of progressively responsible roles relating to IT services.
• Has experience or proficiency with IT projects.
• Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Good organizational, verbal and written communication skills
• Thoroughly and accurately understand issues and analyse the problem in a systemic manner.
• Experience leveraging managed or outsourced services.
• Knowledge of IT Security essentials and best practices for safe workplace
• Experience in network & server management (specifically Cisco/Meraki solutions & Microsoft server environment and virtualization)
• Experience managing operations across a full technology stack (infrastructure through applications) and in a “hybrid cloud” environment combining on-premises data centres, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS
