The role - key responsibilities:

  • Deliver and implement HR services and policies consistently across our stores
  • Ensure HR offerings, policies and processes are aligned to business needs and relevant and practical for the local stores to implement
  • Understand local business context and identify continuous improvement opportunities from HR perspective
  • Ensure prompt and timely recruitment needs identification and deliver efficient recruitment process
  • Participate fully in key people related change decisions, anticipating the people issues
  • Network externally and internally to deliver targeted HR interventions to enhance commercial performance
  • Proactively use people reports to identify trends and patterns, bring these to management attention and ensure appropriate actions are taken to address issues early
  • Support, advise and challenge the management team in their role on people related processes (e.g. performance management, personal and team development, career path implementation, workforce planning, recruitment)
  • Ensure the training needs of the region are accurately translated into requirements for the training management team (product trainings, customer service, etc.)
  • Work with and advise managers to identify and manage high performing/high potential individuals and to ensure strong succession is in place for key positions
  • Use all available HR tools, processes and techniques to address local issues

The profile - experience requirements:

  • Proven track of a minimum of 3 years in a HR generalist role, ideally within a retail industry
  • Generalist HR knowledge of: recruitment, reward systems, payroll, talent development and organisation design, change and performance management, manpower planning, succession management, employee relations agenda (case management), employee engagement
  • Exposure to business planning, profit and loss delivery and delivery of commercial KPI´s
  • Overall knowledge of local labour legislation, local labour market and its best practices (knowledge of Czech labour code is an advantage)
  • Developed networking skills, stakeholder engagement skills and negotiation skills
  • Ability to advise managers to deliver business strategy and drive performance and capability improvement within their teams
  • Excellent internal consulting skills including planning, project and change management skills
  • Developed customer and relationship management skills, including credibility and influencing skills at senior levels
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast changing environment and under pressure
  • Fluent Czech or Slovak and English
  • Willingness to travel
