Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
✔ Advanced troubleshooting of incidents on LAN/MAN/WAN network components from various vendors (CISCO, Juniper, Checkpoint, HP, F5, Netscalar, Infoblox, BlueCoat, etc.)
✔ Developing Root Cause Analysis documents and presenting them to IBM/Customer representatives
✔ Investigating and analyzing repetitive issues on the network for resolution
✔ Planning & performing configuration changes on network devices
✔ Continuously reviewing network configurations (routing, firewall rules, VLAN configurations, Fabric, QoS, vPC, Stacking, LB profiles & others) for optimization opportunities
✔ Performance and capacity planning utilizing tools such as VitalNet, MRTG, Tivoli products etc.
