Websphere Portal Developer within IBM

Websphere Portal Developer works closely with senior technical and business development team members in the organization to help shape our WCM enterprise instance and train other resources on WCM/Portal development so strong communication skills are needed. Tasks require a strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

We are seeking an application developer who will:
· Develop and support an enterprise WebSphere Portal / WCM instance
· Be responsible for participating in development, maintenance and enhancement of corporate content sites and applications with a strong emphasis in portal and web content application development
· Contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, analyzing requirements, and designing, building, testing and implementing solutions
· Build solutions and resolve issues of moderate to high complexity
· Participate in project teams within the corporate IT department
· Work according to corporate best practices and standards
· Collaborate with customers and technical staff to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options
· Thrive in a fast-paced development environment
· Be willing and able to train other senior development resources on WCM and Portal
