Job description, responsibilities and duties

System Integration Engineer/PS Engineer is responsible for Mobile Location System integration into the wireless carrier’s network & support all technical operational issues related to the product.

Scope of activites
•Install and configure software for GPS REFERENCE SYSTEM and other systems
•Work with Carriers to obtain all information and execute activities related to integration of company systems with carrier core networks. These activities will include but will not be limited to the configuration of Lb, Lh, and Lg interfaces, SS7, SIGTRAN and IP links
•Monitor, debug and resolve any issues related to GPS REFERENCE SYSTEM system yield and performance
•Support the regular maintenance and upgrade activities related to systems including the creation of MOPs, IOT Test plans and scheduling suitable upgrade windows with the carriers.
•Handle customer trouble tickets and service requests within customer
•Troubleshoot customer issues, raises bugs and follow issues to closure
•Daily monitoring of all customer KPIs, follow up with corrective and preventive action
•Provide customer training on the product

Personality requirements and skills

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Information Systems/Electrical engineering
•Minimum of 2 years experience preferably working for a GSM carrier and/or Wireless/ Telecommunication Infrastructure vendors
•Knowledge of GSM, UMTS and LTE network, including the typical network interfaces such as Lh, Lg, Iupc, Lb etc.
•Knowledge of SIGTRAN and SS7 protocols.
•Knowledge of basic RF principles and propagation models.
•Experience in supporting a 24x7 production environment
•Previous work experience with at least 2yrs + experience in technical customer service, preferably in the telecommunications or related industry.
•Must have previous experience working within a support team. International experience is an advantage.
•Troubleshooting and problem solving skills are required.
•Experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
•Understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals (DNS, FTP, SSH), general networking technologies, network architecture and connectivity troubleshooting
•Language Requirements: Fluent in English, and Conversational skills in Arabic and French is a plus
•Possibility to work abroad (Oman, Katar, Alegria)
