Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • All-round ICT person with focus on installation, monitoring, maintaining ICT infrastructure and support of ICT Manager and end users. Determines, in coordination with the ICT Manager, the ICT strategy for the future in order to let company achieve her strategic goals
  • 1.Home office
  • Responsible for effective ICT functioning of home office tools for users
  • 2.New hire administration
  • acts as team lead for creating new user accounts, installing laptops, desktops, thin clients and other relevant items
  • 3.Asset management
  • evaluates new HW and SW
  • manages the purchases of HW and SW
  • 4.Helpdesk administration
  • interacts with internal clients on all levels to help resolve ICT related issues and provides answers in a timely manner
  • keep tracks of hours spent and maintains helpdesk application tool
  • if needed follow up specific issues with ICT vendor and communicate status to end users
  • 5.Vendor management
  • first point of contact for technical issues
  • implements requested changes by vendor to secure a stable ICT infrastructure
  • 6.Communication management systems
  • manages and develops upgrades to telephone system and unified communications
  • manages and develops upgrades to the future videoconferencing system
  • 7.Project management
  • support ICT manager in implementing ICT projects in a timely, adequate and target oriented manner
  • responsible for managing (sub)defined projects
  • support ICT manager in documenting of ICT processes
  • 8.Technical understanding
  • possesses a thorough understanding in the ICT applications and maintains and deepens that knowledge
  • maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies and the potential application
  • 9.Back-up & monitoring management
  • primary responsible for backup processes
  • continuously measures ICT effectiveness of running ICT tools
  • 10. Virtualization technologies
  • knowledge of VMware vSphere and Citrix XenApp
  • management and maintenance of iSCSI SAN
  • 11.Security technologies
  • possesses an understanding of security technologies and products for continuous protection of ICT infrastructure

Requirements for the employee

Required education

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills
