Job description, responsibilities and duties
* Reporting to the Team Leader, the Network Engineer is responsible for the administration of a Cisco based network environment. This includes management of the network hardware and software for all production and development systems. This includes support for multiple network technologies.
* These responsibilities will entail monitoring the ticket queue and resolving/assigning tickets as necessary as well as providing assistance to internal technicians, as needed, for Network related requests.

Personality requirements and skills
* 3+ years’ experience in Network administration or design and implementation in a data center environment.
* 2+ years’ experience in Cisco administration and design.
* 2+ years’ experience in UNIX scripting technologies (Shell, Perl, Python, etc.)
* CCDP/CCNP a plus
* Maintain a thorough understanding of the basics behind the Internet and its workings (Subnetting, DNS, Security, IP Routing, VPN)
* Maintain network security through proper configuration of VPN and Firewalls
* Strong team player
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and commitments.
* Self-motivated, directed and passionate about what you do.
* Must be able to work the occasional weekend, holiday and after hours support.
* Fluent English
* 2+ years’ experience in Cisco administration and design.
