Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

* The Process Operations Lead (POL) is accountable for the health and the effective and efficient delivery of the process in scope (Process in Scope: components of the Book-to-Report (BtR) process and services operated within the GSS Center EMEA, NAFTA or APAC). This includes the effective specification, integration and implementation of process in scope including supporting technologies, the effective and efficient delivery of GSS services and to continuously improve the portfolio considering the strategic directions of GSS and GPH.
* Manage process in scope to provide seamless business process performance and results
* With guidance from the Global Process Head (GPH) specify process in scope, integrate them into the end-to-end process and provide process documentation within the global frameworks
* Manage business plan and budgets for process in scope in alignment with Center Operations Lead
* Ensure appropriate information, communication and collaboration with relevant stakeholders (e.g. teams, GPH, Center Operations Lead, POLs in other regions)
* Regularly measure process performance in alignment with GPH by applying a compulsory metrics systematic, self-audits and risk assessments in order to gauge process maturity. Prepare / respond to internal/external audits. Inform Center Operations Lead and GPH.
* Ensure continuous process improvement and innovation (also addressing process-related IT) and align them with GPH. Translate strategic imperatives and global innovations into actual process improvements.
* Manage personnel, performance and motivation and limit turnover by fostering a high performance culture, rewarding the right behaviors, building skills and careers and facilitating a good team and work atmosphere
* Assure compliance with laws, standards and corporate policies considering health & safety, financial code of conduct, business ethics, information secruity, data protection and environmental protection.
* Manage GSS relevant services related to and documented in Book-to-Report Process Blueprint, the end-to-end process that encompasses the majority of activities typically referred to as “general accounting” (e.g. collection of source financial transactions and other accounting data and ends with the creation of internal management reporting and external reporting (statutory and regulatory))

Educational Specialization

Master degree either in Accounting & Finance or Business Administration (or equvilanent relavent experience

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2) and German - Upper intermediate (B2)

Microsoft Word - Expert
Microsoft PowerPoint - Expert
Microsoft Access - Expert

Personality requirements and skills

* Proficiency knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
* Advanced user skills in process specific parts of standard ERP systems (desirable in SAP / ORACLE)
* English: Fluent written and spoken
* German: Fluent written and spoken for EMEA
* In-depth knowledge of customer and business requirements
* Business process acumen
* Ability to resolve issues
* Ability to build productive working relationships with others
* Strong oral and written communication skills
* Ability to maintain and enhance professional relationship with the customer
* Strong facilitation and negotiaton skills
* 7+ years’ experience in process in scope (In-depth knowledge of process in scope as well as broad and deep practical experience - focus on transactional activities)
* Shared Service Center experience
* Process Management experience including the ability to apply, gauge and intepret process metrics
* Transition Project Experience
* Leadership experience
* Experienced to work with international clients from several countries
