Job description, responsibilities and duties
* Responsible for item sourcing and maintenance of sourced item content. This includes, but is not limited to customer requests for quotation, supplier requested changes, and identified sourcing opportunities.
* Responsible for supplier selection and management based on customer needs and commodity strategy; establishing mutually beneficial supplier relationships and managing to performance objectives.
* Responsible for accepting, validating and issuing supplier purchase orders to the supply base, resolving any issues that arise during the order fulfilment cycle to published timing and quality goals:
* Responsible for the end -to-end support of customer urgent order requirements.
* Support customer’s satisfaction objectives by ensuring all customer, supplier and related issues are addressed thoroughly and timely consistent with documented response guidelines.
* Understand and achieves customer cost savings and transactional timing goals.
* Responsible for supplier selection and management based on customer needs and commodity strategy; establishing mutually beneficial supplier relationships and managing to performance objectives.
