Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

* · Preparing the contracts, negotiation about the conditions with new suppliers
* · Develop a plan to utilize the Preferred Solutions on current products
* · Define the benchmark process anf footprint that at product should be manufactured in for the specific region of consumptionbe(considering all local needs, etc.)
* · Define the benchmark cost model for the region
* · Develop the benchmark implementation strategy for the Europe region, negotiate agreements with suppliers and establish implementation plans (including improvement roadmaps)
* · Meet the defined financial objectives for the project with the Product Team
* · Define and manage the accountability process to meet the timing necessary to complete the project
* · Motivate and train the internal and external teams as necessary to achieve the project results
* · Manage the Suppliers within the given programs (change management, contract negotiations, payment queries etc.)
* · Guarantee financial control over complex, modular programs
* · Define the Preferred Solutions to be used for the given region

University education (Bachelor's degree)

Personality requirements and skills

* · English fluent speaker
* · 3 years experience within a strategic purchasing role (preferably in Automotive or commodity related), operational and strategic involvement
* · Purchasing of direct material
* · In depth understanding of purchasing tools and practices
* · Ability to understand total cost analysis to support the process of benchmarking at suppliers
* · Understand supplier financial statements
* · Automotive experience, engineering and/or costing knowledge including the ability to analyze, identify and negotiate key cost drivers and drive cost reductions
* · Contract administration - experience in drafting, analyzing contracts; understand key contract law provisions; ability to draft exit agreements
* · Benchmarking – ability to recognize and/or set benchmark performance, understand supplier performance vs. benchmark performance, drive external suppliers to meet benchmark requirements
* · Advanced Negotiations – ability to gather information, analyze data, prepare and lead the team in supplier negotiations
* · Strong negotiation and presentation skills
* · Ability to travel as necessary
* · Understand commercial and customer strategies of our final product
* · Help to develop commodity strategies to support required organizational needs
* · Manage supplier relationships / commercial issues
