Logistics Back Office Coordinator

who are we looking for

• Bachelor’s Degree or 3+ years equivalent experience required
• Previous experience in logistics is a must
• Excellent written and spoken English, strong professional communication and presentation skills
• Experience in a fast moving operations environment, proven track record of strong team work in Global Companies, or across multiple countries
• Good level of analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organization skills
• Working knowledge of SAP preferred and Logistics Network Systems

what will you do

• The successful candidate will be a member of the EMEA Logistics Operations team, and based in the Lenovo Bratislava office.
• They will be responsible for EMEA DCG Back Office Coordinator and will work with our Logistics Providers, Sales teams and internal Supply Chain teams on daily operations to support deliveries of all Lenovo products to our Business Partners and Customers.
• They will work with our Logistics Providers, to manage shipments via airfreight, ocean freight, truck/multi modal, to meet our Service level and Cost Targets, while continually optimizing and improving our Logistics network.

Role & Responsibilities
• Development and maintenance of statistical models in support of internal client activities and consolidating and creating/scheduling regular Provider Review Presentations.(KPI’s, BMS etc)
• Plan, execute, and effectively communicate the results of strategic database analyses
• Conducts analysis of market data and customer information, identifying patterns, trends and translating those into actionable insights
• Utilize measurement and analysis techniques to quantify results of business activities. Assist in the education of suppliers on measurement and analysis methodologies
• Research and recommend innovative solutions to a wide array of business problems using statistics and mathematics
• Maintain and Administer Files/Data on cargo claims with carriers for lost or damaged product and continue to follow up with all parties involved until payment is received or claim is denied, working with Sales, carriers, and customer parties involved throughout the investigation phase. Ongoing maintenance of assigned portfolio of claims by following up with carriers and customers to ensure timely resolution of claims. This may include the supporting in gathering documents needed to file a loss or damage claim with carriers from customers and carriers and processing request for payment of approved claims.
• Notify carriers of possible claim within time parameters of contract, including highlighting and classification of items which were missing or damaged as well as any shipping errors, and then filing final claims with the carriers for shortages or damages.
• Assist customer fulfillment in making arrangements with carrier to return goods and schedule inspections. Coordination and communications with management, employees and agents. Will provide executive level summaries of return goods and locations, and potential implications.
