Qualified candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
• 5 – 7 years of Payroll Operations experience for specific country is required
• 3+ years of Payroll Manager responsibilities for EMEA is required
• Certified Payroll Professional preferred
• Experience in managing the payroll process using both an in-house system and ADP Payroll services
• Must speak, read and write English fluently
• Degree preferred in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance
• Experience with end-to-end payroll processing including: time management, leave administration, registration, pay processing, payroll taxes, reporting, and experience dealing with payroll queries and issues from employees
• Must be customer-focused and comfortable working with diverse groups i
• Excellent relationship management, negotiation and facilitation skills
• Expert users with MS Office suite,
• Workday experience is preferred

what will you do

As part of Lenovo’s Global Payroll Team, the Payroll Manager will be responsible for the day to day leadership of the Payroll Team based in Bratislava. There are two Payroll Managers supporting 40 countries This role will support 50% of the countries. This includes delivery of payrolls processing for our country employees, employee inquiry management and issue resolution. This position will also work with our external payroll vendor, Lenovo businesses and HR functions to ensure the effective delivery of end to end employee payroll processing and query management.

The EMEA Payroll Operations Manager will also work with our external payroll vendors, Lenovo businesses and HR functions to ensure the effective delivery of end to end employee payroll processing and query management. The role is responsible to supervise the upload of payroll related data onto the required Payroll Vendor online tools, downloading of the payroll outputs, distribution to the relevant individuals or teams within the Lenovo business, and approving local payrolls.

Duties include:
• Supervising and developing payroll staff; up to 6 direct and 1 team leader
• Reviewing all payroll processes and making recommendations for efficiencies
• Staying current on all payroll issues with the organization
• Assisting in processing of payroll where necessary
• Managing the payroll processes using either an in-house system or ADP Payroll services
• Ensuring all assigned payrolls are processed timely and accurately.
• Partnering with payroll vendors, HR and Finance teams and liaison with vendors to resolve queries
• Ensuring all payroll query responses are dealt with in a timely manner
• Following up with vendors or escalate to Global Payroll Director where needed
• Using global payroll tools and preparing appropriate payroll calculations to ensure proper payroll processing
• Acting as back up for other Payroll Manager
• Participating on global initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures
