Job description, responsibilities and duties

  • Identification and implementation of new technologies in business and continuous improvement of processes
  • Provide direction in the design and planning phase of new production lines, as well as taking responsibility for the improvement of existing production lines through expansion of standardization work
  • Full responsibility for defining the operational manning through ‘MOST’ time studies, layout and process planning, which meet company standards and commitment
  • Ensure all industry and company required documentation is maintained to the agreed standard(PFMEAs, Launch Readiness Reviews, and updating of operating procedures)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Industrial Engineering Manager to join our expanding JIT Seating business covering the Eastern European region. It is anticipated that for the first 18 months, the role will support our transition to a new Greenfield facility in Voderady (Slovakia) but in the months following could expand to support projects in Czech Republic and Poland.

Reporting to the Senior Industrial Engineering Manager in our European HQ Munich, you will be entrusted with identifying and implementing new technologies and continuous improvement processes into the Voderady facility as well as playing a leading role in the coordination and delivery of successful production line moves.

Personality requirements and skills

  • Completed a degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar technical discipline
  • A minimum of 5 years leadership experience working in an Industrial Engineering or Process Engineer role within a Production environment
  • Strong drive, determination and organizational skills to lead from the front and manage your own projects through to delivery.
  • Good knowledge of time trials, Line Balancing, material handling, automation, Poka Yokes, ergonomics, PFMEA, project planning and implementation
  • A strong understanding of Lean Production and continuous improvement principles
  • Strong communication skills with a fluency in English language , German language skils would be advantagous.
