Job description, responsibilities and duties

• identification of assembly times
• use of Global Business Best practices records as performance indicators and departmental goals
• feasibility analysis ( DFA / DFM ) and PFMEA 's implementation of new products or projects
• planning and creating layouts for new products
• create detailed technical specification for equipment suppliers
• cost analysis for product and process alternatives (investment and cycle time)
• working with cross-functional teams to successful product launch
• leading or participating on improvement strategies in the area of "Manufacturing Footprint" analysis, continuous improvement of the production processes and implementations of Lean Manufacturing
• responsibility for manufacturing process instructions for the successful implementation of AME work results
• compliance and monitoring of all health, safety and environment (HSE) legislation
• follow proper planning of corporate objectives as well as their adaptation to changing conditions
• implementation of activities, decisions and development of ideas, products, processes in the agreed budget and timing

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Personality requirements and skills

• completed technical degree (focus on mechanical or industrial engineering)
• 3-5 years experience as Manufacturing or Industrial Engineer
• fluent in English verbal/written
• OEM or Tier 1 automotive experience (Seating) would be desirable
• MTM knowledge (basic method MTM1/SD-Verfahren ) would be desirable
• knowledge of selection, installations and equipment
• thorough understanding of improvement tools such as SIX Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, time and motion studies
• influence in designs and other works that require creativity
• strong ability to identify, evaluate, and develop project solutions and recommendations
• knowledge of safety regulations
• willingness to travel internationally (35%) if required
• strong MS-Office skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project, etc.)
• experience in dealing with customer expectations and CRM
• team player, strong in conviction and motivation with excellent communication and negotiation skills
