Job description, responsibilities and duties
KPMG in Slovakia is seeking outstanding candidates with suitable competencies to help us navigate our clients through critical M&A and restructuring minefields. KPMG offers a unique environment for people who are willing to learn and grow.
The successful candidate will become part of Transactions & Restructuring team and will participate on engagements including, but not limited to:
- Mergers and acquisitions, disposals, negotiations and acquisition support
- Valuations for transactions involving the sale or purchase of companies, mergers, joint ventures,
- re- organizations and financial statements purposes
- Financial modelling, the preparation and evaluation of business plans and feasibility studies
- Restructuring of existing capital or debt structures
Responsibilities
- Providing engagement support to all senior team members and managers
- Taking ownership of all research, both primary and secondary
- Providing insightful analytical inputs for the project (market and industry sector)
- Producing articulate and concise reports on the findings of the research, taking ownership of the production of final reports
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements and financial models
Competencies
- An excellent command of written and spoken English
- Highly detail orientated and extremely accurate
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint to prepare financial models and reports
- Highly capable of refining, analysing and interpreting financial data into manageable information
- Able to investigate and research designated subject matter
- Problem solving skills
- Capable of thinking outside the box
- Strong accounting skills
- Understanding of basic valuation concepts and corporate finance issues
