Job description, responsibilities and duties
For our TRAMO Department, we are currently looking for a Product Manager, responsible for the variation and release management of the WABCO System Diagnostics portfolio, incl. all Diagnostics programs and hardware components such as cables, interfaces and diagnostic cases.
THE ROLE WITHIN WABCO
He/she must understands the international market landscape (customers, competition, trends…) for the CV diagnostics portfolio and connected services and collaborate with the sales teams to price and market the products optimally.
Responsibilities:
• Be the market expert on a defined portfolio, gather all required market information in order to support business decisions.
• Develop the right services strategies around a diagnostics offering (where are you now, where want to go and how to get there) and proper marketing plan
• Generate new ideas that contribute to the overall growth target of WABCO Aftermarket
• Measure, analyze & report performance of portfolio
• Understand the competition landscape & the competitors key differentiators
• Drive Product Variation Management for all diagnostics components
• Be main interface (technical and operational tasks) to Diagnostics Development Team as well as to JV WabcoWürth
• Play an active part in the development of a new Diagnostics Concept 2.0 in representing the VOC
What to achieve:
• Segment the different markets according to their requirements & key customer attributes (based on different maturity of WABCO braking systems)
• Communicate adequately with all internal stakeholders to share market knowledge from different regions, to consider different perspectives in order to define the right strategies and to ensure the implementation of the strategy
• Set up roadmaps to offer the required services ( value proposition ) including the key differentiators & communicate and position it accordingly
• Involve support functions to provide value adding documents, how to videos, repair and diagnostic instructions, augmented reality sequences and further elements supporting the diagnostics and repair process in CV workshops
• Continuous margin and costs analysis, prioritization of OPEX, drive activities with purchasing and M&L to achieve savings
• Contributes actively to the Aftermarket with continuous process improvements

• Experience working either as Product Manager Automotive or workshop foreman and diagnostics specialist, or as Service Advisors, Mechanics, Service Technicians, Service Managers
• First experience with Automotive Diagnostics systems, Diagnostics workflows, Guided or remote diagnostics, trouble and failure codes, ODX/OTX
• Knowledge of Automotive, Commercial Vehicle, or other durable goods industries
• Fluency in English
• A Plus to have is:
- Automotive diagnostic sales experience or industry vertical experience
- Six Sigma & project management training is a plus
- German language skills
The ideal candidates will be able to work remotely. Results oriented, ability to drive projects to completion. Although technical education is not a must, technical understanding is required
