Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an experienced Senior Compensation & Payroll Specialist who will join an international HR team to coordinate payroll activities for 1200 people in 6 countries and leading HRIS implementation project. The role is located in Bratislava and will directly report to CEE HRD. The successful person will closely cooperate with Unit HR Managers and HR specialists in the team to secure proper planning and implementation of a new software and correct payroll operation.


Scope of duties:

• The objective of this role is to coordinate work of an external payroll provider (vendor)
• Lead communication with vendor, analyze on-going processes and assess quality, proactively initiate discussions, come up with favorable terms and conditions
• Generate HR reports and analysis, provide certain level of admin support and internal system coordination
• Delivering high-quality service to business managers/HR in responding to queries, advising on policies and procedures and managing HR administration processes
• Managing data gathering to provide accurate and timely instructions to payroll e.g. for local terms and conditions such as overtime, shift allowances, first aid payments, banked hours etc.
• Playing an active role in the implementation of HR tools/systems

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

Language skills

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

• Payroll implementation project knowledge and practical experience (min 2yrs)
• Relevant work experience within Payroll and employment matters is considered as an advantage
• Service-minded
• Have great English skills
• Strong logical thinking and ability to focus on what's essential
• Experience with driving change
• Experience with WORKDAY (as user, trainer or in implementation) will be an advantage
• Practical knowledge of labor code from one of the following countries: Slovakia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Poland and Ukraine
