Job description, responsibilities and duties
Responsibilities:
• Monitoring and analysis of development in public finances (development of deficit and debt, observance of existing fiscal rules)
• Preparation of the baseline scenario of public finances
• Participation in preparation of CBR´s core materials, such as the assessment of the general government budget, report on long-term sustainability of public finances and report on compliance with the fiscal responsibility and fiscal transparency rules
• Monitoring and analysis of certain government sectors, such as municipalities, healthcare or EU funds
• Analysis of public sector net worth
• Reviewing the existing methodology of analytical concepts used
Requirements:
• University degree in economics, finance or mathematics
• Interest in public finances, practical experience conducting research and/or analysis in this area would be an asset
• Strong analytical skills and excellent drafting skills
• Paying attention to details
• Fluency in Slovak and English
• Proficiency in MS Excel, knowledge of data analysis software (e.g. Stata) would be an advantage
