Job description, responsibilities and duties

Governmental Affairs Manager (GA) ensures that Janssen is organized and resourced to drive a strategic and systematic approach to Governmental affairs.
• GA Manager utilizes knowledge and experiences for optimal operation of Market Access Department in Slovakia. In close cooperation with Market Access Lead SK and Director CZ_SK and MD CZ_SK to develop and execute GA strategies for market access of Janssen portfolio.
• GA Manager establishes sustained and effective relationships with key strategic policy makers, regulators, sick funds and different relevant trade associations.
• GA Manager is responsible for providing strategic counsel and leadership in delivering Governmental Affairs strategies incorporated into HEMAR and CVT TA strategies.
• GA Manager is an active member of the EMEA/CEE/OpCo GA functional network

The Patient Engagement & Advocacy (PE&A) Lead ensures that Janssen is organized and
resourced to drive a strategic and systematic approach to patient engagement and the incorporation of the patient’s voice in all our operations.
• The PE&A Lead oversees and coordinates all patient centricity initiatives within the Janssen organization and establishes sustained and effective relationships with key strategic patient advocacy stakeholders
• The PE&A Lead is responsible for providing strategic counsel and leadership in delivering patient engagement and advocacy programs in support of CVT TA strategies and OpCo priorities.
• The PE&A Lead is an active member of the EMEA/CEE/OpCo functional network of Patient Engagement & Advocacy Leads in order to streamline our patient centricity efforts at international & local level and to guarantee consistent implementation of patient initiatives in core therapy areas in all Janssen operations.

Job Requirements:
• A university degree in a related field, such as political science, public policy or health care, is required. An advanced degree is an additional asset.
• Professional experience mainly in public policy (governmental institutions, trade association advocacy; government/public affairs consulting or NGOs)
• Comprehensive knowledge about Slovak Health Care legislation
• Complex knowledge of GA and public affairs area
• Knowledge about Janssen products/therapeutic areas
• High level of verbal and written communication skills, including effective listening and the ability to speak and write persuasively
• Experiences with project production
• High level of PC skills
• Fluent English and Slovak languages
