Lead Accountant - Bank Accounting

Responsibilities:

* Leading and developing team of various levels of accountant professionals (clerks, accountants, senior accountants)
* Managing and motivating team members (i.e. monthly 1 to 1 meetings, evaluations, weekly team meetings, communication, high team spirit)
* Supporting Bank accounting team members with daily issues
* Supporting direct supervisor with solving escalation issues
* Responsibility for timely and accurate postings processed by the team
* Reviewing bank account monthly reconciliations according to internal rules and policies as well as according to US GAAP
* Making sure deadlines are met and priorities are balanced accordingly within month and during month end closings
* Monitoring daily workload, backlog and issues
* Encouraging team members in further improvements of internal processes
* Communication with other departments, treasury as well as with internal customers from respective regions within team responsibility
* Bank accounting team is responsible for payment and receipts clearing as per bank statements on a daily basis, follow up items which are not cleared and further investigation of unreconciled statement items etc.
+ Clearing of Treasury transfers
+ Inter-company pooled transaction postings
+ Interest reconciliation

Qualifications:

* good accounting knowledge
* ERP knowledge such as Oracle, iScala, SAP is big advantage
* good Excel knowledge
* good communication skills, result-orientation, responsibility, flexibility
* good managing of stressful situations
* fluent English + other languages are advantage
* experience in a leading position for at least 1-2 years
