Our Cash Applications directly impacts the financial result of a company, influencing cash flow, trade working capital and, like all of our roles, customer satisfaction. This team works to ensure that incoming payments from customers are allocated to the correct customer invoices in a timely manner to minimize account discrepancies through research and query resolution.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

In your role as a Cash Applications Specialist you will be required to allocate incoming payments to your designated portfolio, on a daily basis, whilst comparing the payment details with open receivables to be booked on customer accounts. You will both research and resolve payment discrepancies as well as process manual journal entries to comply with audit requirements.

Your role will support the business through a proactive approach to resolving any unapplied cash, by identifying and resolving root cause issues to prevent repeat occurrences. We support our customer through the use of prepayment plans and the accurate tracking and follow-up of these is vital in this role. Cash Applications Specialists support the reconciliation of AR related accounts and provide timely responses to assist with month end close processes. You may be required to prepare ad hoc reports and status updates to assist in this activity.

Position Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Degree in business administration or professional experience focusing on Finance/Accounting.
  • 0-1 years in Finance or Accounting role an advantage.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have good knowledge of Microsoft® Word, Excel, Outlook,
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, communication, and follow-up skills, with the ability to work in a fast paced team environment while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent accuracy and attention to detail skills
  • Experience with ERP (e.g. SAP, Oracle) is an advantage
  • Solid self-management
  • Ability to adopt new techniques and tools quickly
  • Team player with pro-active approach and problem solving personality
  • Experience of working in Shared Service Centre/Retained/Outsourced environment an advantage

The team you will be joining is supporting US market, therefore your working hours will be from 1:30pm till 10pm.
