IT Deskside Support Engineer - Contractor

The IT Deskside Support Engineer role is to provide 2nd level support for end users within the organization's desktop computing environment. This includes installing, diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and upgrading all hardware and equipment (including but not limited to PC, printers and scanners) to ensure optimal workstation performance. The person will also troubleshoot problem areas (in person, by telephone, or via remote access) in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end-user assistance where required.
* 2 years’ experience in Help Desk services / End User Support services
* Excellent technical knowledge of PCs hardware
* Working technical knowledge of current protocols, operating systems and standards
* Ability to operate tools, components and peripheral accessories.
* Software and Hardware Troubleshooting
* Routers, switches and firewall experience
* TCP/IP
* Respond and resolve tickets in a timely manner
* Basic knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and Windows ACL's
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Implement IT policies, procedures, and system controls
* Experience working within enterprise ticket systems
* ITIL Foundation Certificate
* Smartphones and Tablets with iOS, Android and Windows
