Senior Country Finance Manager South & France Region

Our business centre in Bratislava, Slovakia has an opportunity for a Senior Country Finance Manager within our Building Efficiency Business Unit to join our CFM team. As finance partner for the Regional Finance Director, you will have primary responsibility for the compliance and control environment for all General Ledgers in the region consisting of France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. In addition you will act as intermediary between the Bratislava Business Center and other shared services and the Business ensuring close cooperation and fast issue resolution.
The role scope: Finance Partner for South Region

Responsibilities:

Primary owner of the General Ledger and first contact for GL reports, queries and audits
First contact point for Regional Finance Director for issues relating compliance and integrity of accounts
Maintain a robust internal control environment at regional level and ensure compliance to corporate accounting principles and policies
Drive efficiency and improve internal controls e.g. reducing manual journals and process exceptions
Own the month end close and coordinate month end close calendar
Key contributor to mitigate risk of account misstatements through regular Balance Sheet reviews and ensure unreconciled items are resolved and risks are mitigated and escalated
Sign off on both the monthly Financial Statements and the quarterly Representation letter
Promote effective communication between the BBC and business through first-hand knowledge of the business and BBC owners, processes and issues
Act as first escalation point for issues that doesn’t get resolved between BBC processing teams and business functions
Act as intermediary to ensure close cooperation and effective communication between the business and internal service providers (CFS, BBC, treasury etc.) and drive allocation of activities per agreed taxonomies and SLAs
Experience/Qualifications

8 - 12 years in complex finance/controlling roles in industrial company or in an accounting firm
University degree in business administration or adequate professional experience focusing on Finance/ Accounting
Audit and FP&A background preferred and ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent required
Leadership and project management experience
P&L experience is an advantage
ERPs (SAP, iScala, Oracle), HFM preferred
Fluent in English and French
Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
