We are hiring a Senior Country Finance Manager Northwest Region in our business center, based in Bratislava.

This individual will be the finance partner of the Regional Finance Director and have primary responsibility for the compliance and control environment for all General Ledgers in the Northwest region (UK, Ireland, Benelux,     and Scandinavia).  In addition this person will act as intermediary between the Bratislava Business Center and other shared services and the Business ensuring close cooperation and fast issue resolution

* Position Responsibilities:
* Finance Partner
* Primary owner of the General Ledger and first contact for GL reports, queries and audits
* First contact point for Regional Finance Director for issues relating compliance and integrity of accounts         
* Maintain a robust internal control environment at regional level and ensure compliance to corporate accounting principles and policies
* Drive efficiency and improve internal controls e.g. reducing manual journals and process exceptions
* Own the month end close and coordinate month end close calendar
* Key contributor to mitigate risk of account misstatements through regular Balance Sheet reviews and ensure unreconciled items are resolved and risks are mitigated and escalated
* Sign off on both the monthly Financial Statements and the quarterly Representation letter
* Engagement Manager
* Promote effective communication between the BBC and business through first-hand knowledge of the business and BBC owners, processes and issues
* Act as first escalation point for issues that doesn’t get resolved between BBC processing teams and business functions
* Own business Contact List for BBC counterparts to ensure effective communication and resolution and escalation of queries
* Act as intermediary to ensure close cooperation and effective communication between the business and internal service providers (CFS, BBC, treasury etc.) and drive allocation of activities per agreed taxonomies and SLAs

* Qualifications:
* 8 - 12 years in complex finance/controlling roles in industrial company or in an accounting firm
* Audit and FP&A background preferred
* Business experiences required
* P&L experience an advantage
* Fluent in English, second language is an advantage
* Shared service center experience preferred
* Leadership and project management experience required
* Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization
* ERPs (SAP, iScala, Oracle), HFM preferred
* University degree in business administration or adequate professional experience focusing on Finance/ Accounting
* ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent required
