Manager Desktop Engineering

Seeking a Global Desktop Engineering Manager in EUC (End User Computing) with a successful track record of delivery and performance while also being a self-directed, self-starter. The Desktop Engineering Manager is responsible for the Software Delivery, Software Packaging, Update / Patch Distribution and Security of the global EUC Environment. Service operability grounded in simplicity and usability are the deliverables for this organization. The ability to document, communicate, educate and respond to L3/L4 critical incidents are an important function of this role.

• Provide management for a global team of Desktop Engineers including performance reviews, mentoring and goal setting to build the knowledge base, professionalism and technical capabilities of EUC Services.
• Work with Regional Business Operation Manager and staff to facilitate the smooth transition of projects and strategies to operations.
• Act as a management escalation point for critical issues.
• Work with regional staff, global staff and regional services support organization to ensure operational availability of all EUC Services.
• Manage complex projects through to completion including timely, effective communication and stakeholder input.
• Identify recurring and potential problems and develop cost effective solutions.
• Participate in operational meetings and discussions to identify problems, solutions and drive strategic alignment.
• Consistently improve performance and reliability of all EUC Services.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities.

• 3 to 5+ years of related management experience of Client Computing environment.
• Applicant needs to have developed professional written and verbal communication skills including the ability to mentor and develop employees.
• Experience working with customers and stakeholders and having a proven capability of building process, reporting and procedures as necessary.
• Working experience with Windows, WAIK, MSI, SCCM, Active Directory. Familiar with Group Policies, Windows Registry, WMI, VBA, PowerShell.
