Senior HRIS Analyst

Primary Purpose:
Under broad supervision, supports the design and development of HR Learning & Development applications and data management solutions based on business needs and capabilities. This may include functional and technical system requirements, functional process performance measures and metrics and reporting, and system maintenance and testing. Acts as a Learning Management System (LMS) subject matter expert.  Analyzes, evaluates and reports on results of programs executed, supports communication, and provides training on theLMS.  Provides LMS and talent profile expertise to deploy, improve, and sustain human resource programs and processes.
 
Primary Duties:
* Consulting with functional areas to provide learning and development technology solutions to achieve maximum business results.
* Liaison between business unit power users and systems support, coordinating maintenance and service requests with appropriate parties.
* Project team member for HR applications as well as system support and related requests.
* Partnering with business unit customers, application support, and technical leads to determine needs and functional requirements, assist in designing and implementing business solutions, and assist in developing standardized work processes, tools, and methodologies that improve quality and reduce time relative to HR processes.
* Effectively communicates with and remains responsive to business units and project team members.  Supports regional communications relative to the applications.
* Define improvement opportunities, process gaps, or workplace needs through effective use of assessment methods.
* Support testing with business units, applications support and system developers for overall functionality and technical quality of deliverables.
* Remain current with industry L&D and other talent systems and capabilities.
* Maintain records and prepare reports and correspondence as required.
* Degree in business or management information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of 3 years systems analysis experience directly related to the job responsibilities with functional knowledge in the application of technology to support and improve Human Resources Management processes.
* Minimum 3 years experience working with HR applications.
* Familiarity and experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or experience working in Learning & Development preferred.
* Fluency in English language both oral and written.
* Ability to troubleshoot, multi-task and meet deadlines.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Self-motivated and self-organized working style.
* Ability to effectively work on diverse project teams.
* Must maintain customer service focus and flexibility in supporting business unit needs.
* Demonstrated competence in presenting concepts clearly and accurately in written and verbal communication skills. Able to positively represent Johnson Controls and communicate with others at varying managerial and technical levels.
* Demonstrated strong skills in collaboration withmulti-national people and teams.
* Commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
* Proficient in utilizing business software applications including MS Office (Excel, Word,Power Point), Visio, and basic Windows environment.
* Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
