Independent Senior Controller - Bratislava

Independent role in finance with great potential

Our valued client, an internationally well-known production company, is looking for a financial professional, fully independent, and with a proven track record of successful assignments and fast learning abilities. Main focus of this position is controlling, monthly cut offs, reporting, presentation of the financial results, budget and forecast preparation for the commercial organization. There are few business units inside the organization, the job holder will measure & report the KPIs of all of them. We are looking for a person, who is eager to learn and who is able to find their ways to do so.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Planning, directing and controlling the entity’s finance operations to ensure achievement of the short and long term business and financial objectives
• Ensuring of quality reporting and analysis of financial and operating trends in order to support the management
• Leading the annual budgeting and planning processes including quarterly forecasting
• Close cooperation with the business unit - sales representants - to ensure the targets are met at all times
• Supporting of cost accounting, development of material and overhead standards, inventory valuations & reconciliations
• Producing of a detailed sales and costs analysis – standard monthly reporting and analysis on request – and participate on deviations or trend explanation
• Pricing management and GM maximization projects/processes
• Cooperation with colleagues abroad and the production sites within the country
• Other ad hoc duties

We will require you to:

• Have a good understanding and work experience regarding the duties mentioned
• Have at least 5 years of work experience on a controller/finance manager position - preferably from a commercial unit (Previous experience from a production company is nice to have, but not a must).
• Have a degree on Economics or equivalent
• Have a strong analytical mindset
• Be very efficient with MS Office, especially MS Excel – experience dealing with large amount of data, creation of pivot tables
• Be a native Slovak speaker
• Have an outstanding knowledge of the English language, as most of the regional meetings are held in English
• Be able to learn fast and change track when needed
• Be eager to improve day by day
• Be able to commit to the company for several years

Locality of the position: Bratislava, Slovakia - with occasional trips within the EE region.

Starting date: Immediate or up to further discussions

Salary: competitive, depending on the candidate's experience
