We are hiring standard & control engineer for advanced manufacturing engineering - paint and final department.
Particular emphasis will be placed on the following:
Particular emphasis will be placed on the following:
- Developing Production Ready Equipment Interfaces (Mechanical & Electrical)
- Developing PLC Logic for Standard Interfaces
- Robot Manufactures Selection and Software / Process Development
- Mechanical / Pneumatic / Electrical Design & Installation standards Development
- Commodity Selection and Management through adoption of stringent R+M Principles
- Overseeing Controls and Standards input into new AME delivered projects
- Developing new suppliers, cost effectively, into the groups Standards for Equipment Manufacture
- Investigating Future Technologies and feasibility with Advance Manufacturing Team
- Standards & Specification writing.
- Assisting & Advising Manufacturing Engineering on Manufacturing Equipment Technical Issues
- Project managing Line Builders to JLR in the correct application of JLR Standards
- Support the Planning and co-ordinating of manufacturing facility requirements for new model introduction and model year changes.
- Support Virtual build analysis with Timely and Robust supplier data / commodity selection.
- Assist with input in Planning, procuring, installing and commissioning Manufacturing Operations facilities for New Model Launch
- Project manage work through development and monitoring of timing plans
- Ensure adherence to project deliverables (PCS etc)
- Manage technical issues and escalate where appropriate
- Attend programme meetings and escalate where applicable
- Contribute to the development and submission of departmental responses to AIMS, Auto Status, Master Schedules, 8D and Fracas etc
Požiadavky
- Educated in a Technical Field with a preference to Time served engineering apprenticeship or;
- Minimum of 3 year’s experience in a Maintenance Background.
- Knowledge of and involvement in facility installations, especially in Paint shop and assembly shop, commissioning, highly sought.
- PLC and Robot Application experience are essential.
- Project management skills.
