Facility Engineer/ Robotic lines installation/ BiW

We are looking to recruit a locally based Advanced Manufacturing Engineering organization as an extension to the UK based team. Facilities Engineering is responsible for the introduction of new facilities and equipment required to process new materials & product programs through bodyshop department.

Main responsibilities:
• Take an active role in the design and development of automotive manufacturing processes, tooling and equipment in line with manufacturing planning assumptions for new model introductions
• Liaison with key suppliers and management of a section of a larger turnkey project
• To assist the department manager with all aspects of program activities - such as process / manufacturing system design and development, the organizing and running of design reviews and problem solving.
• Understand and deploy quality management system processes and procedures to support Plant accreditation and alignment with core JLR global systems.
• Development of Lean Manufacturing process concepts in line with Bill of Process and Design for manufacturing principles.
• Work with Product Development to ensure optimized design for manufacturing
• Use of project management techniques to develop and control schedule, cost, risk and change management.
• Use of automotive engineering tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, Capability, Technical Availability and Reliability and Maintainability planning

• Educated to a higher level in an engineering discipline
• Experience of manufacturing technical planning
• Knowledge and direct experience of manufacturing facilities and processes directly related to body shop.
• Ability to present feasibility assessments, facts and recommendations clearly to a wide range of audiences
• Able to work in a cross functional team across multiple grades.
• Good working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
• Proficient in English and Slovak
