We have an exciting opportunity to work for a new automotive Company in the Nitra region. We are hiring for the position of Current Manufacturing Electro Engineering in Vehicle Configuration and Test System operations.
Vehicle Configuration and Test System Manufacturing Engineer is a support of the electrical testing of the car and the validation of feature performance. The process downloads software to electronic modules on the vehicle and configures them to the correct vehicle specification, making the car saleable and ensuring it complies with market legislation. The team of engineers at each site takes responsibility for the provision of a whole-life test system from the start of a vehicle programme, through early build stages and on to volume production.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Providing manufacturing engineering support to production assembly teams to ensure that the objectives of safety & ergonomics, quality, cost and efficiency
  • Continuous process improvements (RFT, right first time) using the Integrated Production System and Lean manufacturing principles such as Kaizen, Poke-Yoke, and 5S
  • Ensuring all engineering changes (hardware + software) are controlled to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements, Conduct line trials and Process audits
  • Supporting the introduction of new products & processes into the existing manufacturing area with correct documentations and delivered on time and of the highest quality to meet customer demands
  • Co-Responsible for Handover of Manufacturing Processes, Facilities & Equipment
  • Maintaining PFMEA, control plan and reaction plans. Responsibility for department equipment, tools, devices (incl. calibration)
  • Supporting tooling and capital acquisition activities and validating the new and existing equipment capability
  • Create and lead Vehicle Configuration and Test System Cross Car Line activities. Develop and run training courses for new members of Vehicle Configuration and Test System team
  • Developing safe working practices
  • Adherence of Jaguar Land Rover standards and procedures

Requirements:
  • Completion of college diploma or university degree in: Electrical/ Electro-technical Engineering, or similar
  • 2+ years of combined career experience as a process engineer or HW/SW programmer and as a hands-on electrical/automation/manufacturing engineer working on mechanical/ electromechanical/robotics systems
  • Conversant with Automation systems as well as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to generate procedures for work and train new members of Vehicle Configuration and Test System team
  • Experience of specifying and installing new automation to realise productivity targets
  • Proficient in managing risk assessments, FMEAs, control and reaction plans for industrial automation equipment using safety standards
  • Demonstrable Experience in the application of a logical approach to Problem Solving
  • English language at communicative level
  • Flexible, Self-Motivated & Confident Team Player with integrity and discipline
