IT Country Lead (with experience in the Automotive or manufacturing sector)

The role of the JLR Global Manufacturing organisation is to lead and shape the growth of our international manufacturing business. Within Global Manufacturing, the IT role is to shape, build, develop and deploy the IT landscape in support of the increasing international business footprint.
This role is to lead the in-country IT aspects of the Slovakia programme through the development and project phase and into business as usual, steady state operation.

Key Purpose of Role:
• Deliver the in-country aspects of the IT plan to support and enable the Slovakia Manufacturing Plant.
• Build the required IT team in Slovakia to deliver the plan.
• Set up the structure and organisation to support the operation of the manufacturing plant and supporting business functions once the programme delivery phase has completed exploiting the company´s strategic global IT partnerships and outsource initiatives.
• Manage the transition through the programme phases into live operation.
• The holder of the role will work with a number of suppliers and external partners to deliver world class IT to the Slovakian business.
• Building on the IT Landscape deployed for the start of business in Slovakia, develop the IT vision and roadmap for Slovakia. This vision to be aligned and maintained in conjunction with the functional BRMs strategic vision for their specific functional areas.
• Use a network of partners and peers to build and maintain a stable and sustainable IT operation in Slovakia aligned with Global IT Strategy of the company.
• Motivate, develop and appraise team members so that the individual and collective performance is of the required standard
• Develop and operate corporate governance and security standards
• Regular and efficient reporting to all key stakeholders aligned to IT Governance.
• To be a key member of the globally distributed IT Leadership team.

• Strong Project and Programme Management capability.
• In- depth knowledge or experience in the Automotive or manufacturing sector specifically is mandatory
• Strong leadership skills.
• Excellent communication skills (Slovakian and English language).
• Excellent stakeholder management.
• Strong influencing skills.
• Experience from previous role / roles with an international remit preferable but not essential.
• Degree qualified – preferable but not essential.
