Launch Planning and Workforce Readiness Senior Leader

Popis práce

  • Work with the AME Manpower Planner, Launch Leaders and Production Managers to agree a production and launch headcount profile for plant start-up and across further programmes; identifying efficiencies across programmes to minimise waste (Accountable)
  • Ensure budget received in alignment with headcount changes and communicated to Launch Leaders (Accountable)
  • Review AOR v ROR and highlight any issues to the TN5 first line and TN technology managers along with solutions (Accountable)
  • Ensure all resource requirements are communicated to the Manpower Planning team (Accountable)
  • Develop and implement a well benchmarked and robust ROC plans for all in product launches (Accountable)
  • Create a robust ABS plan for all product and market launches (Accountable)
  • Work with the programmes team to support the development of a market/ trim level/ engine strategy and build plan (Accountable)

Production Workforce Readiness:
  • Work with the Launch Leaders, Technology Managers and HR to develop production recruitment and training plans (inclusive of flawlessly executed key workers programme), ensuring delivery within cost, time and quality requirements (Accountable)
  • Assist the plant to develop and select product and skilled specialists where skills gaps are apparent
  • Assist in the delivery of the production training area of the local training facility
  • Assist in the delivery of the production skills school areas on plant
  • Accountable for timely delivery of a virtual training solution in preparation for in market product launches
  • Accountable for ensuring appropriate level of product coach training and support in preparation for various in market build phases (to the required LQOS standards)

Internal Events Co-ordination:
  • Delivery of Sister Plant events (Accountable)
  • Accountable for internal communications activities including the Village Hall events
  • Accountable for ensuring compliance with Finance policies in relation to raising finance for events

Plant Launch support:
  • Ensure compliance with HR, finance and manpower procedures in the delivery of the project (Accountable)
  • Review and adjust LPWR Master Schedule to ensure workforce readiness planning milestones are most up to date and reflecting world class workforce delivery objective (Accountable)
  • Conduct comparative studies across JLR launches, analyse lessons learnt and develop an optimum model for training based on scalability and program content (Accountable)
  • Ensure LPWR team is supporting the plant launch Pillar Champion activities, as agreed at the beginning of the year, driving through actions and initiatives to contribute towards the SQDCME scorecard team (Accountable)
  • Ensure LPWR team is fully developed and resourced to support future launch and plant growth challenges (Accountable)

Požiadavky

  • Computer literate, able to create spread sheets and charts, using simple formula and pivot tables in Excel
  • Proven experience of supporting launch of new products in an manufacturing environment
  • Prior knowledge of technical training and associated facilities
  • Awareness of production systems, Lean manufacturing and problem solving techniques
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills (proficient English required)
  • Excellent numeracy, written and verbal communication skills
  • People management experience in an office environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to develop networks and establish quality relationships with internal stakeholders and 3rd parties
  • Good communication skills, encouraging team working, coaching others and developing skills and knowledge across the team
  • Organisation and prioritising skills; ability to forward plan, whilst reacting appropriately to challenges in a timely manner
  • Strong desire to deliver against targets.
  • Flexibility in working outside of standard operating hours and to travel between Slovakia and UK (may include travelling to other countries)
