Proposal Specialist / Bid Manager
Job description, responsibilities and duties
He/she has overall responsibility for the bid process for all assigned opportunities and for leading the bid team through the pursuit process incorporating strategies, technical information and marketing materials.
Leading the preparation of the assigned bid projects
Cross-regional cooperation with the major projects group for quotations in multi EPC and / or strategic project environment
Development of concepts and integrated solutions for process automation
Coordination of internal departments, in particular the area of sales, contract management, purchasing and engineering for identification, verification and development of offers
Development of specifications for subcontractors and evaluation of tenders
Communication with customers, suppliers / partners, affiliates, and other Invensys employees, to ensure the offer delivery to the customers
Responsible for gathering information required to complete financial and risk analysis
Technical Assistance and presentation of the offers to the customers, as well as participation on on-site inspections
Improve proposal productivity and quality including content changes and use of standardized tools and processes
Participation in the achievement of quarterly and annual goals and support in the development and in maximizing the market share

Requirements for the employee
University education (Master's degree)
English - Advanced (C1)
Personality requirements and skills
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role or as a Bid Manager / Project Manager within process automation or engineering
Ability to manage a project / bid team
Ability to write a client centric proposal articulating the client value (Slovak, English, German is a plus)
Very good communication skills (spoken and written)
Commercial and financial understanding
Good knowledge of process automation industry/engineering
Effective user of MS Office, Project Scheduler
English - fluent , German - advantage
Willingness to travel (up to 20% of the time).
