Job description, responsibilities and duties
The Head of IT Security directs and implements the enterprise policies, programs, and procedures to cost-effectively protect information systems assets. The position ensures the security organization provides an efficient, effective and current, secure IT environment in alignment with the risk.
The position is accountable for developing, maintaining, publishing, and enforcing enterprise IT security standards and guidelines encompassing data, physical and intellectual security. Secondary tasks include the selection of appropriate security solutions and perform vulnerability audits and assessments and follow up with implementation based on audit recommendations.

• Identifies and establishes compliance with regulatory requirements defined for the security of information, personal data and intellectual property. Advises management on risks and best security practices, ensure proper methods are applied for compliance.
• Determines the appropriate security response to incidents. Intervenes whenever conditions exist that pose a threat to the security of the company. Provides senior management with updates or details regarding threats or serious incidents.

• Monitors security systems for possible intrusion.
