  • You execute within the overall IT demand management structure & processes
  • You understand the client’s short- and mid-term business strategy and help to translate this into required IT demand item
  • You act as project manager during the pre-study phase of the client IT demand analysis and align activities across Enterprise Architecture & Design, Controlling and Business Analysis
  • You facilitate discussions to define budget and resource requirements for the annual planning process and to influence relevant stakeholders (Client, peers, Management of UITS, ITOpCo) to make effective decisions
  • You manage the relationship with the business units with respect to annual planning, prioritization, new requirements, ongoing business activities that will create substantial IT demand (active stakeholder management via all management levels) and continuous improvement of demand management process and interface UITS/ client
  • You initiate and execute intra departmental and business facing communication and improvement activities to ensure maximum alignment of the UITS with business priorities and facilitate demand capturing
  • You build an overall demand pipeline on an annual basis as well as on an ongoing basis (mapped against annual budget and capacity plan) for the client and help with the consolidation across all the designated UITS clients as required
  • You develope and maintain a project and enhancement roadmap aligned with business priorities of the client, IT capacity, technical dependencies and ongoing project portfolio. Collaborates with all required IT peers to ensure roadmap is shared and aligned across all IT functions
  • You capture new demand and ensure structured and high quality of demand’s scope and specification in order to have a consistent basis for estimation and scheduling of the implementation
  • You prepare and maintain a project portfolio view for upcoming projects with IT expenditure to facilitate a decision basis for decision meetings with the business, UITS and/or IT&OpCo
  • You prepare and maintain a System Enhancement Request Portfolio view and facilitates prioritization and scheduling decisions for System Enhancement requests in order to ensure optimal usage of the IT capacity

Personality requirements and skills

• Ideally qualified in ITIL and in a project management methodology
• At least 4 years background in IT in a financial services institution
• Experience in project management of larger IT projects would be of benefit
• Previous experience in release management and ideally some exposure to IT operations management and good knowledge of IT governance processes (benefit)
• Expert knowledge and experience with all major functions of an insurance organization in order to be able to understand, evaluate and judge the IT requirements of different insurance business units
• Good command of written and spoken English
