Job description, responsibilities and duties
A Training Specialist is responsible for identifying training needs, designing, organizing, delivering training programs, and evaluating their effectiveness. Training specialist creates teaching plans, develop instructional materials, and ensure employees’ growth aligns with company goals.
Responsibilities:
• Collect training needs from the business and process owners
• Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of the personnel
• Compare the requirements for positions from JDs with actual staff members
• Translate requirements into building of quarterly and annual training plans
• Plan annual refresher courses for all staff members
• Develop the production of instructional materials, aids and manuals
• Acclimate new hires to the business and conduct onboarding trainings
• Active involvement in preparation of development programmes
• Periodically evaluate ongoing programs / trainings to ensure that they reflect any changes
• Prepare budget for training programs and workshops
• Deliver training courses
• Implement training KPIs
• Active involvement in preparation of HR policies and procedures
• Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in employee development
• Perform any other activity related to role scope and qualifications in line with direction from Head of people operations and business partnerships
REQUIREMENTS:
• 2+ years of experience as a Training specialist or similar role
• Ability to lead a full training cycle
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques
• Familiarity with talent management and succession planning
