Job description, responsibilities and duties

A Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial aspects of various business operations, ensuring strategic decision-making, risk mitigation, and financial performance optimization. The role encompasses a diverse set of responsibilities, ranging from analyzing commercial contracts to generating financial forecasts and contributing to corporate financial planning. The Financial Analyst acts as a liaison between different departments, providing valuable insights, challenging assumptions, and fostering a proactive approach towards financial management.

Scope of position:
- develop and maintain the business and financial models of the company,
- support capital raising of the company, through transaction, management (administrating datarooms, preparing pitch materials, coordinating third party due diligence advisors as appropriate),
- support with product quotations, pricing, central sales, and marketing,
- support with the review of commercial contracts from a financial perspective,
- be a key interface with the financial teams of existing customers in order to provide support on development budgets and cell pricing,
- proactively engage with stakeholders, internal and external, at all levels to provide support and constructive challenge to cell costing and underlying assumptions,
- work closely with Finance colleagues to develop cash and profit improvement plans to correct deviation to budgets,
- drive the delivery of opportunities and support risk mitigation activities,
- coach and advise finance and operational teams to understand and employ good business behaviors,
- liaise with other members of the Finance team as appropriate, with regards to tax and regulatory matters,
- liaise with fund managers and network with industry professionals with the aim of growing the company's pipeline for future investment,
- monitor and report of existing investments,
- valuation analysis on a single investment and portfolio basis,
- monitor closely financial press and keep track of market trends, opportunities, risks and new investment products.

Finance, Economics

Language skills

Slovak - Proficiency (C2) and English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Experience requirements:

Fully qualified accountant
Experience in financial business partnering cross-functionally
Outstanding attention to detail, combined with the ability to maintain visibility of the bigger picture
Self-starting with the ability to take the initiative as required, and able to quickly integrate into commercial teams
Comfortable dealing with pricing uncertainties and generating sensible assumptions in the absence of other data sources
International perspective
First class communication and MS Office skills, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
Resilience to deal with unexpected challenges and a fast-paced and ambitious environment Experienced and autonomous in business and financial modelling


Certificates requirements:

Completion of ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or competency through relevant experience

Brief description of the company

InoBat is a Slovakia-based company established in January 2019 aiming to create an R&D cluster and accelerator focusing on the development of battery solutions in the energy and e-mobility sectors. InoBat develops technologies with international partners looking to expand their global reach to the European continent in general, especially Central and Eastern Europe.

InoBat Auto, one of its flagship projects, is a Slovak battery production and R&D company. Together with its technological partner Wildcat Discovery Technologies, its aim is to build the first vehicle lithium-ion battery production line and research center in Slovakia.
