Job description, responsibilities and duties
This position is the primary connection between Thermo King and the Thermo King Dealers. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales that are generated through the Dealer Network. The Area Sales Manager is responsible for improving the performance of their specific Dealers, and thereby improve the business results of the Company. The main focus of the Area Sales Manager is the sales and services that can be provided by their Dealer. The sales manager is also responsible for some major national accounts/customers, he/she is the primary contact for these customers.

Principal Responsibilities:
1.Customer Consultant
a) Works with the Dealer Sales force to act as a consultant to the customer, through understanding the customers business and needs. Provides advise and solutions (with the Dealer) to customers that fits the customer's specific business requirements, dealing with all areas including any potential problems. Communicate with the Dealers the value of the solution to the customer. Help the Dealer to quantify the value and benefit to the customer. Design a complete offering that fits the customer's need for the unit, aftermarket, accessories, & service.
b) works with a number of national accounts directly. Manages the customers in terms of negotiation, requirements, products and service.
2.Dealer Principal Consultant - Consult with the Dealer Principle to establish business strategy, future plans, and operational issues. Combined with Channel Management group and the Dealer Principal develop business excellence projects that will strengthen the Dealer. Regularly review the Dealer business results against plans, and identify actions to address any shortcomings.
3.Sales Leader / Trainer - Use Channel Management tools and Sales tools to support and train the dealer sale's population. Increase the overall competence of the dealer's sales population. Specifically focus on solution selling skills, negotiating skills, customer consultancy skills, and business accumen to understand the customer's business. Flag any potential gaps in the skills and knowledge of the dealer sale's population, and then with the Dealer Principle, create an action plan to address the gaps.
4.Regional Performance Management - Employ effective project management and organization techniques . Meet defined sales objectives for territory for Transport Solutions as part of a team (Service Mngr, SPAT Manager). Good understanding of English. This role can be located anywhere in Eastern Europe.
