Job description, responsibilities and duties

The purpose of this position is to ensure the “Lean Production principles” will be followed and developed in production. The position enables plenty of opportunities to influence way of production in production plant.
Industrial Engineer’s work is to lead and facilitate continuous improvement of the processes, working methods and systems throughout the company. He is constantly looking for improvements of work, organization, systems and processes with the aim to improve performance.
As an independent resource he will be working closely with the production/operations manager, quality manager and their people to provide support of their activities. This represents mainly:
- Providing capacity for collecting data to perform various analyses, tests, and experiments when introducing new systems.
- Forming teams to providing suggestions and solutions to various organizational changes and improvements.
- Supervising implementation of the approved solutions and providing his knowledge.
- Charting and visualising improvements results.
- Developing and delivering training of the new methods of work.
- Working with Management Systems and other organizations as a facilitator of recommendations.
- Lead and coordinate the work to further develop and implement new ways of working concepts in the factory
- Provide lean production knowledge support to the factory
- Co-ordinate training and other support activities connected to lean management
- Measure and analyse all time manufacturing process flow and define critical process parameters
- Conduct process FMEA meeting, define process schemes for all critical parameters, then introduce relevant process control instructions to production
- Control and develop team´s process related competences and it´s all time development (Prepare training material, conduct regular training program, evaluate performance & awereness)
- Develop process control capability in the direction of on-line - Statistical Process Controlling methods, etc
- Assist departments with technology transfer, new product implementation
-Ensure shiftly, daily, other periodical cross-functional PDCA activity in order to develop all time „OEE, Outsorting, Stoptime“ key performance indicators. Develop the daily RCPS activity and team´s capability
- Develop setup change performance, SMED activity (evaluate, train and support line organization)
- Develop Manufacturing line product specific capacity (Detect bottlenecks, evaluate cycle times and advice continuous improvement possibilities)
