Job description, responsibilities and duties

Lead and develop the Quality agenda for the unit together with the management and establish goals and set priorities.

•Responsible to secure that we have competence and way of working with continuous improvement through out the company
•Understand and integrate the IKEA Quality Strategy, unit action plan
•Lead the quality team
•Responsible for the budget of the team
•Responsible for securing, organizing and leading internal and external resources in quality related tasks
•Lead the development of working methods, secure alignment and deployment
•Responsible for KPI reports related to quality
•Be responsible for recruitment, competence development and introduction of new employees

Information about the selection process

Quality Manager leads and supports the company in quality related issues by setting prioritizes and leading the agenda. To secure, develop and improve the quality level of the unit and as well communicates all quality related actions with external parties.. Lead the team by example of IKEA’s leadership, representing IKEA values and to develop the competences. This function reports to Managing director.

Personality requirements and skills

University degree in quality management or equivalent competence gained through work experience
3-5 years leadership experience in a management position (preferable quality, manufacturing or related)
Good understanding of industrial production
Good knowledge in working with continuous improvements and Quality Management
Excellent communication skills in English/Slovak (alt. Czech), written and spoken.
Strong leadership and team player with capability to lead and develop business & people
Strong in sharing knowledge and coach others
Process and concept oriented with good analytical, structured and pro-active approach
Ability to set goals, implement them and follow them up
Strong communication and relation skills, ability to establish broad networks and to build commitments
Strong in leading in change

IKEA Components s.r.o. started its business activities in 2000. We are part of IKEA's supply chain and we are focusing on the best solutions in the field of purchasing, industrial packaging and distribution of furniture fittings designed for sale in the IKEA sales network.
Our main focus is packaging and distribution. Packages and cartons with forging are packed on modern automatic lines and semi-automatic machines. We have high performance and modern technology in our automatic warehouse. Each day we pack and distribute about 1 million packages.
