ABOUT YOU

We are searching for an enthusiastic manager who will take on an exciting assignment in one of our IKEA stores. We welcome you if you:
  • have experience of working in a management role.
  • have proven record of consistently meeting agreed budgets and goals and working on plans over a number of years.
  • are able to set and implement action plans, provide clear direction and follow up goals.
  • have great communication and coaching skills to develop people and grow the business.
  • are able to communicate confidently in English and local country language.
  • are willingness to move within the countries in our region (CZ/HU/SK).

ABOUT YOUR JOB

In your job as a Deputy Store Manager, you will:
  • lead and develop part of the management team, engaging them fully in the tasks of becoming leaders in life at home, generating sales growth and long term profitability. *act as a back-up for the Store Manager and you shall be able to grow and develop needed competence to be ready for a Store Manager position in its full extent during the limited time period (1-2 years).
  • prioritize and organize your personal work tasks and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of time available.
  • engage and inspire others by creating a passion for your plans.

ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENT

Your assignment includes strategical as well as tactical tasks:
  • to develop IKEA retailing in the local market, lead the multichannel transformation and ensure alignment with the IKEA vision, IKEA business idea, human resource idea and the IKEA Group Direction: Growing IKEA Together 2020.
  • to build a strong IKEA Brand position and increase our competitiveness and customer base by growing the overall IKEA share of the local market.
  • to create and implement a store retail business plan that combines local priorities with the national directions, thereby securing a coherent and consistent message to our customers and consumers in the local market.
  • to secure a consistent, seamless positive customer experience through all channels by ensuring that the IKEA store is always striving to fulfill the IKEA customer motivators.
