ABOUT THE JOB
The challenging position of Sales Manager calls for a person who can lead and inspire a team to optimise shopping experience and store profitability through your knowledge of the IKEA product range, local market conditions and the needs of customers. Together with the expertise of your team and colleagues, you will help to secure the continued global success of the IKEA Concept – a concept that serves millions of satisfied customers each day.

YOUR ASSIGNMENT
Your tasks will include:
• Optimising sales and profitability by encouraging your team to take fast action on commercial opportunities and act on customer feedback, competition, supply and performance analyses.
• Knowing the local market potential and working with your team and other store functions to plan and implement commercial activities that increase sales.
• Deliver and lead the commercial action plan for your store; taking input from the team and the matrix manager to ensure the department supports the achievement of the agreed goals for the country, maximises sales and generates sustained long-term profitability.
• Working through the team, and with the support of other functions, to present the width and depth of the IKEA range in order to satisfy and inspire visitors.
• Ensuring the store is in excellent shape with fully stocked sales spaces at all times.
• Create an environment of trust by encouraging open, constructive, honest, two-way feedback with your team and other colleagues and develop team members by agreeing clear goals and expectations, and conducting follow-ups.
• Ensure your shopkeepers have the right number of co-workers in the right place at the right time to run their shops successfully and ensure their co-workers are ready and available to serve customers and help them buy
• Secure successful implementation of country priorities and the sharing and implementing of good solutions
• Analyse the qualitative performance of your store using IKEA research

ABOUT YOU

• You have an interest in home furnishings and people’s everyday life at home.
• You have experience of setting and implementing action plans and budgets, and following up goals.
• You can prioritise and organise your work and the work of others to make the most efficient use of time available.
• You are able to engage people by creating passion for your plans.
• You have the ability to develop knowledge of the local market and business conditions quickly and take commercial decisions based on this information.
• You are able to communicate in English language fluently
