Quota & Territory Analyst for MEA

Professionals in this role act as trusted advisors for IBM Seller’s Territory and Quota to the SC&Q leader and sales managers, supporting them to deploy their sales teams according to IBM rules and principles. They assist and advise on the identification, unstacking and shift of sales resources to growth opportunities - helping to improve seller’s coverage and productivity. They develop business subject matter expertise in IBM Sales Models tools, data models and information based processes. Employees in this role also act as a delegate for sales managers to update and maintain the territories throughout the year on both Deployment & Maintenance phases. They also manage, plan and execute each deployment based on directions from WW & GEO program leaders.

These specialists provide end-to-end execution of processes, such as commissionable quota calculation, sales territory deployment, additional support and directions to business leaders, managing the development and implementation of the global strategy. The Territory & Quota professional is also focused on cross-initiative operational support in areas such as Coverage, TOP, Quota and Reporting Analysis. They are a relationship leader aligned by BU.

Employees in this role apply professional knowledge of Sales Coverage & Quota information, analysis requirements and specifications. Use applied business analysis skills and ability to identify and propose a solution to a business problem based on raw data. Seek opportunities to innovate, standardize and automate deliverables across BU/GEO eliminating proliferation of one-off and ad-hoc reporting. To give more insight of data, the employees provide standard and business analytics reports on territory assignments and support sales resource optimization which in turns improves and helps in accurate quota setting. The Territory & Quota Professional will use Cognos/QMF/Excel/Watson to deliver the above requirements.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Technical skills:

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel & Microsoft PowerPoint
• Knowledge on Cognos, QMF desirable
• Execution skills
• Data mining and data analytical skills

Language skills

• English fluent in spoken and written
• Other languages welcome


Additional requirements

• Ability to interpret and convert business input into technical format and vice versa
• Ability to work with detailed financial data
• Experienced in MS Excel and web tools administration
• Ability to handle communication via all possible channels- video, phone, mail, chat, etc.
• Ability to work under pressure
• Willingness to work MEA time zone when required
